Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is the operator of electricianmalaga.com, identified in our Legal notice. You can reach us about anything in this notice at hello@electricianmalaga.com.
This notice is written to comply with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the Spanish Ley Orgánica 3/2018 de Protección de Datos Personales y garantía de los derechos digitales (LOPDGDD).
What we collect
We only collect data you give us when you get in touch:
- Contact form: name, phone number, email address (optional), the service you need, your area, how urgent it is, and your message.
- Phone calls: your phone number, the time and duration of the call, and any voicemail message you leave. Voicemail messages are recorded so we can call you back. Live conversations are not recorded.
- WhatsApp: your phone number, profile name and the messages you send us. WhatsApp itself is provided by Meta and has its own privacy policy.
- Technical data: our hosting provider logs standard server information (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security and to keep the site running. We do not use this to identify you.
We do not ask for, and you should not send, payment card details or sensitive personal data through this site.
Why we use it and on what legal basis
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange the service you asked for — this is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract (GDPR art. 6.1.b).
- To pass your enquiry to the local electrician who will carry out the work — same basis. This is the whole purpose of the site; see the Legal notice for how the relationship works.
- To keep a record of enquiries received — our legitimate interest in running the service, resolving disputes and preventing abuse (art. 6.1.f).
- To keep the site secure — our legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f).
We do not use your data for marketing unless you separately ask us to, and we do not sell it.
Who receives your data
- Our partner electrician in Málaga, who receives your enquiry so they can contact you, quote and carry out the work. They act as an independent controller once they have your details.
- Service providers acting on our instructions as processors: website hosting (Vercel Inc.), database hosting in the EU (Supabase, Ireland), transactional email (Resend), telephony and voicemail (Telnyx), and our customer relationship system (HighLevel Inc.). Each is bound by a data processing agreement.
- Meta Platforms, if you contact us on WhatsApp.
Some of these providers are based in the United States. Where data leaves the European Economic Area it is protected by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries (form, call and WhatsApp records): 24 months from the date received, then deleted.
- Voicemail recordings: 12 months, then deleted.
- Server logs: up to 90 days.
We keep data longer only where we need it to deal with a complaint or a legal claim.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- access the data we hold about you;
- correct it if it is wrong;
- delete it;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- receive it in a portable format.
Email hello@electricianmalaga.com and we will reply within one month. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Spanish data protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, at www.aepd.es.

The site is served over HTTPS only. Enquiry data is stored in an EU database that is only reachable with server-side credentials, and access is limited to the people who need it to handle your enquiry.
